- Activate a licence key in the Software (licence key, hardware fingerprint)

1.2 Information collected automatically
When you use the Software or visit our Website, we may automatically collect:
- Software: Application version, operating system, hardware fingerprint (for licence validation), and update check requests. The Software does not transmit your firewall configuration data, analysis results or any file content to our servers.
- Website: Standard web server logs including IP address, browser type, pages visited and referring URL.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the personal information we collect for the following purposes:
- To process and fulfil licence purchases and activations
- To validate licence keys and manage hardware-bound licences
- To provide software updates and App-ID database updates
- To respond to your enquiries and provide customer support

- To improve and maintain our Website and Software
- To comply with our legal obligations

The Rampart Software processes firewall configuration files entirely on your local device. Your configuration files, analysis results, and generated reports are never transmitted to our servers. The only data the Software sends to our servers is:
- Licence validation requests (licence key and hardware fingerprint)
- Update check requests (current application version)
- App-ID database update requests (current database version)
6. Cookies
Our Website may use essential cookies to enable core functionality. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or analytics services that track individual users.

Under the APPs, you have the right to:
